We were in Bangkok to bring in the new year. After a year full of hectic schedules and work travels we decided to take a break to relax and rejuvenate.
We didn’t have an itinerary here or any list of must visit places and had no plans of running around the place exploring each and every corner possible. I had just researched on some places to eat and shop, so I am listing down things to do in Bangkok for Leisure.
As a travel blogger I have learnt sometimes it’s good to have a slow pace.
1. Visit the Grand Palace
Grand Palace is one of the most famous tourist locations in Bangkok. Other tourist sites are temples namely Wat Pho, Wat Arun.
The entire cluster of malls at Siam and nearby; Siam Paragon, Siam Square, Central Plaza. Em Quartier for Luxury shopping amd Chatuchak Market for all local items.
We did really experiment a lot with food here, started with South Indian food since I was instantly craving some wholesome Indian food. Later, we had a good filling lunch at an italian restaurant Theo Mio, and also tried some local Thai food. Mango with sticky rice, coconut ice cream is a must must must try when in Thailand.
4. Enjoy the View
Hitting roof top places has almost become a norm in all of out travels. Sometimes it’s a tourist place, a tallest building or rooftop restaurants like this one. Octave Rooftop Lounge is one of the most famous ones in Bangkok.
Take a stroll in one of the parks or pick up book and spend sometime reading it in a cozy corner.
5. Thai Spa
A leisure trip is incomplete without a spa session.
