Every year the first month feels like a new beginning. A new year always provides new perspectives. As a fresh year lies ahead with endless possibilities, some of us are making new resolutions while a few introspect about themselves and their perspectives. Think about their lives, goals which are crossed off and are freshly written on the to-do list in your mind. I have never been into new year resolutions but I have always set a few goals which I have tried to achieve each year be it on personal or professional front.
Feels like yesterday when I did this blogpost on styllogue turning one. From turning one to starting a website I had never imagined all this would happen so fast. When I started the blog I had lots of apprehension about how I would manage between work and blogging. But I guess my passion for blogging and styling is the driving force behind the blog.
Coming to the outfit first post of the year is always a special one. Keeping that in mind I was looking for something fancy yet elegant and this gorgeous midi skirt fitted the bill perfectly. For midi skirts which are voluminous I prefer slight longer versions. The full skirt silhouette is very retro, ladylike and demure. The fabric of the skirt is so soft it feels like a dream. There are endless ways to style a midi skirt the most common one is with a crop top. But this combination been done to death hence I went for this beautiful floral top. The essence of such looks lies in the simplicity, I have deliberately kept the accessories minimum since I wanted the outfit to take centre stage. To finish off the look a statement ring, pair of heels and a clutch.
