Top – New Look | Pants – Zara | Sandals – Forever 21
Quite recently I have been getting emails from lots of you asking me how to style longline tops, tshirt and shirt dresses. Personally I was going to skip this tunic style trend but the immense amount of requests made me change my mind.
Instead of going for the regular elongated tshirt maxis I thought of fusing together the high slit top and the dress over pants trend, which in many instances will look like a westernized version of our very own churidaar-kurta combo. 70s fashion might have taken centrestage this spring-summer but this minor trend has not gone unnoticed. Seen in numerous editorials and fashion weeks, with a little creativity and proper styling an array of looks can be created.
These longline tops can be basically paired with almost any type of denim or pants. Easiest way to style these longline tops is to pair it with your favourite pair of denims. For a laidback day pair your favorite jeggings with a light dress.
If you go to see we are not new to styling longline tops. For a different way to style a long slit top I took the formal approach; to make the look polished I paired it with a pastel trouser.
