Cropped Pants – Zara | Jacket/Vest – Dorothy Perkins | Top – Zara | Bag – Chanel | Sandals – Zara
With changing weather there is always ample emphasis on weather appropriate dressing. Even a slight change in weather is immediately reflected in our outfits. In monsoons if it’s a rainy day we step out in easy drying fabrics and as soon as a dry patch hits we get back to summer dressing. Another thing what I have always seen fashion enthusiasts do during summer to monsoon or fall transitional period is reinventing previous season’s pieces.
Culottes and cropped trousers have become my most favoured style even more than skirts when I am on a break from denims. A crop top paired with high waist cropped trousers would have been my preferred choice had it been a summer post or a vacation look. Since I was styling a rainy day worthy look I opted for light layering.
Over years I have been a staunch follower of the three-piece rule. While blazers and jackets are not an option in hot humid weather ; these trench style Sleeveless vests come to the rescue here. Easy to layer and comfortable even in hot weather are the reasons these vests have become my favourite layering piece.
Talking about the outfit, to let the stripes take centre stage I paired the vest with a plain top and bottoms. Strappy sandals to complement the print of the vest and my classic Chanel flap bag to complete the look.
