Mauritius Travelogue

If you have been following my travel updates on Instagram you might know that for our first wedding anniversary I was whisked away by my better half to the land of pristine waters, Sun-kissed beaches, turquoise lagoons. The beautiful tropical island République de Maurice (Mauritius) an island nation, nestled in the Indian Ocean, off the southeast coast of Africa.

Our main motive of travelling to Mauritius was to spend some quality time with each other and soak in the beauty of this paradise. For our stay we chose Outrigger Hotels and Resorts, a beautiful beach resort in Bel Ombre. A luxury property with serene private beach, multi cuisine restaurants, sea facing cafes and pools.

The day we arrived after a pretty turbulent flight we spent our day relaxing by the beach and enjoying creative coconut cocktails.

Next day for some rejuvenation we headed to the Navasana Spa at the resort. Later around sunset we took a drive along the coastal road to Maconde point, one of the most spectacular viewpoints in Mauritius giving a mesmerizing view of the sun setting over the beautiful ocean.

If you are one of those water babies there are a wide variety of water activities one can indulge in here. From scuba diving, Snorkelling, Kayaking, underwater sea walk, para sailing, speedboat rides and the list goes on. Île Aux Cerfs island, literally every one who has visited Mauritius has visited this island and would recommend as a must visit destination. We spent this day indulging in a couple of water activities like Underwater sea walk and parasailing.

Later we headed to Grand River South-East waterfalls not knowing what a mesmerising visual we were going to experience, something which would remain etched in our memory for years to come.

Following day we went off to explore the North side of the island and the city life there. Capital City of Mauritius, Port Louis, Caudan Waterfront, the Citadel Fort from where you can get a panoramic view of the city.

Our entire experience was an enthralling one and we would love to come back to this place and experience Paradise again. In case you want to check more images of my Mauritian adventure search for #stylloguetraveldiaries on Instagram
