If you guys remember back in July I had started a Part Deux series where I will be doing posts in which I pick a item which I have already used in a previous post and style it differently something like revisiting old posts. So here I am back with the second installment of Part Deux series and not one but Part deux of two outfit posts i.e. Dash of Dots and Military Mode.
The most beautiful thing about polka dot dresses is that they are so capricious, girly and have a lovely retro vibe whereas a army green jacket has this rough vibe to it. It’s amazing how these two opposites go well together. This polka dots and army green combination has always been at the back of my mind ever since I came across a few similar inspirations on Pinterest.
Now coming to the outfit this is one of the few times you will find where my bag and footwear are not color coordinated. The trick to achieving this I feel is pairing complementary colors together. For this instance the bag is in a hue similar to the dots of the dress, at the same time it goes well with other colors in the outfit. Coming to the footwear I have always been fascinated by the fact how instantly Oxfords (not to be confused with brogues) add a classy charm to the outfit. And it’s quite well known how much I love to stray from the conventional, so I not just went for suede but also pointy toe oxfords. Oxfords one can wear around the year be it spring summer or fall and you will see me wearing this lot and a burgundy pair like this is a perfect fall companion.
