Top – Marks & Spencer | Jeans – Zara | Clutch – Miss Selfridge | Shoes – Zara | Ring – Valliyan | Sunglasses – Dior
The more I look at the pictures from the Work wear colab post, the more I want to experiment with this top. If the pinstripes have succeeded in tricking you then let me assure you this one is certainly not an easy piece to style. Of course there is a safer route, club it with a pencil midi skirt and get a prim and proper look.
When I picked this top, looking at it first thing I thought of was how not to style it. I was not going to take the easy way out with this one. The pinstripe pattern exemplifies typical work attire. Gelling the strictly formal pinstripes pattern in a casual look is quite a task. I opted for a pair of loose fitting boyfriend jeans quite breaking the rule of not pairing loose tops and bottoms together.
One of the simplest ways to make a loose fitting pair of denim look more feminine is to add a good pair of heels. To finish of the look I have added some pastel accents. A beautiful pair of pastel blue pumps and this adorable powder pink J’adore oversized clutch.
