Shirt – Topshop | Skirt – Ginger (Lifestyle) | Shoes – Zara | Necklace – DIY (read here) | Rings – Forever 21, Colaba

Surprises, Life certainly is a full of them. You never know how when and where. They can be around any corner waiting for you. I experienced something similar recently maybe in a small way when a small ootd picture lead to a full outfit post. We were clicking a picture just to share on Instagram and the final product came out astonishingly well (a huge amount of credit goes to the photographer) that without a second thought we decided to turn it into a blog post.

My affinity towards silver jewellery is quite apparent from my previous posts on the blog and other updates. I don’t think my obsession with all things silver is fading anytime soon. If you happen to follow me on Instagram I had posted a picture with stacked silver necklaces sometime back. I keep revisiting these necklaces as and when possible and now this fascination with the shiny metal has moved on to beautiful rings. This delicate Filigree design ring and midi ring pair has simply become my favorite. I am amazed by the fact how wonderfully the necklaces with designs that are so true to our roots blend with plaid.

Coming to the outfit, there’s no question that a statement piece can instantly amp up the outfit. During winters most of us love to bundle up in layers. But living in a city like Mumbai, forget about harsh winters we have to be content with only slight nip in the air. As winters are just about non-existent here we don’t get to stock up on layers hence at times fall prints are our only resource to sport fall fashion. I find the color palette of this plaid shirt in itself is quite unique. My previous look with this plaid shirt was very casual. While in this look I have clubbed the shirt with a basic black pencil skirt and experimented a little on the accessories front. This is more on formal lines at the same time the accessories add a grunge element to the outfit. To finish off a chic oversized clutch and black pumps which I scored recently from the eoss.
