UltraViolet, yes that’s the Pantone colour of the year for 2018. An unconventional hue, Ultraviolet symbolises experimentation, creativity and optimism.
Pantone’s official definition of the color describes it as “complex and contemplative, Ultra Violet suggests the mysteries of the cosmos, the intrigue of what lies ahead, and the discoveries beyond where we are now. The vast and limitless night sky is symbolic of what is possible and continues to inspire the desire to pursue a world beyond our own.”
This hue has been intriguing me ever since Pantone announced its colour of the year 2018 not only for its symbolic representations but also because this is one of those hues ignored by mainstream fashion and a challenging one to incorporate in an outfit.
To start with initially I incorporated this hue in my wardrobe through like a knitted jumper here. Later moving on to making some sartorial statements with this floral printed midi length dress. Pairing it with a pair of luxe satin slouchy boots, a style of boots which was prominently featured on fall runways and further completing the look with my J’adior.
So here is my take 2 on Ultraviolet, are you excited to try this colour !!
