Kimono – Cortefiel (check here) | Crop top – Zara | Pants – Forever 21 | Bag – Mango | Shoes – Zara
The moment you think of a kimono first word that comes to the mind is ‘Bohemian’. Unless a structured one it’s a challenge to separate the bohemian vibe associated with a kimono and achieve a look anything other than casual.
Kimonos can be tricky, when worn correctly they can make you look incredibly chic and if not, a coachella wannabe. For warmer days a kimono is a great alternative to a blazer. No one can debate the amount of comfort and ease a kimono offers.
The kimono in question here has a bohemian vibe to it but when paired with formal pants instantly makes it work appropriate. Another thing I love about this semi sheer kimono is the intricate thread embroidery which makes it stand out from the usual. To streamline the look I added this crop top with stripes that match the colors of the embroidery and finish off the look with a bright red handbag.
Taking a cue from this look, once in a while rethink your regular pieces and give them a twist.
